A giant handmade decorative paper mache tray. Built in cardboard, then finished in traditional papier mache using salvaged paper. An intricate circle pattern in metallic gold covers the front of the tray, while a contrasting patina style effect in metallic copper and turquoise accents the back. The design is intended to play up the organic, imperfect circle shape of the tray. Fancy flower style upholstery tacks embellish and protect the sides. Carefully sealed for moisture resistance and durability.
Previously available on made-to-order basis, this item is currently ready to ship while quantities last.
Meant for light use and decor, so the entire tray is finished in several coats of water resistant sealant, to protect it from spills and to allow it to be wiped clean. This spacious piece can accommodate a number of glasses, tea service, or snacks. Mount it on a wall, display it in a large plate stand, or ready to go on your oversized ottoman.
Color: soft cream, metallic gold, metallic copper, rustic brass, turquoise
Measurements: 26in x 27in x 1in (66cm x 68.5cm x 2.5cm)
Recycling and conservation is important to me. Unless otherwise indicated, ALL of my papier mache items are made from recycled paper and other reclaimed materials, not preshredded storebought mache.
