Hurricane Lamp, Decorative Paper Mache Vessel with Glass Insert

A handmade paper mache hurricane lamp. Hand sculpted from salvaged papers. Mounted onto a cast paper pulp base. The entire piece is handpainted in acrylics, and the cup portion is finished in several layers of glaze, to emulate ceramic art and illuminate its colors. Includes glass insert pictured, to allow use with fresh florals and water, battery powered candles, or use this piece with or without the insert for dry arrangements. A dedicated well in the bottom holds the glass insert securely in place. Hard, but lightweight, reserve this for small or lightweight arrangements to avoid tipping over. Finished on the bottom with felt to protect your surfaces. A beautiful, unique addition to your existing collection.

Sealed for moisture resistance and durability. Meant for light use and decor, use of heavy objects inside not recommended.

Recycling and conservation is important to me. Unless otherwise indicated, ALL of my papier mache items are made from recycled paper and other reclaimed materials, not preshredded storebought mache.
