The details: Paper mache can occasionally warp in the final stages of a piece's creation. Though I take steps to prevent that, it sometimes occurs anyway. This is a serving tray that warped during the curing process for the sealant (the protective coating). It is functional, but not completely flat and can rock on a flat surface. It would be great for display on a wall, in a plate easel, or to hold non-breakable items. Use it to hold breakables at your own risk. As is, final sale.

A handmade decorative paper mache tray. A brilliant fall leaf tray, created from salvaged papers and painted in seasonal hues. Finished all over in my exclusive crackled effect for a beautiful, rustic look. Fancy rustic brass finish upholstery tacks act as decorative feet and protect the bottom from wear. A sturdy, functional piece built to last.

Meant for light use and decor, this piece is finished and cured in several coats of high gloss sealant, for moisture resistance and durability. Designed to resist spills and to be wiped clean. Use this tray to serve drinks or snacks, or to hold things like perfume collections or jewelry. Alternatively, it can be displayed in a plate stand.
