Handmade Paper Mache Bowl, Gold and Copper Leaves Papier Mache Decor

A handmade gold and copper paper mache bowl that features a leaf design. This is a papier maché bowl handmade by me, from salvaged paper. I shredded old newspapers, junk mail, bills, love letters from my many admirers, etc., then formed this unique, luminescent bowl. I pressed real fallen leaves into the sides of this piece to create a beautiful relief. Once the piece was dry, I pulled the leaves off, and voila! Painted rich, metallic hues of gold, copper, and bronze to accent the leaf prints. This beauty is lovely on its own, or a great place to display fruit, decorative objects, or whatever you like!

Papier maché is a tough, yet lightweight material. It won't shatter if dropped, but can be chipped, scuffed, or otherwise damaged if abused! Guard against heavy weights and excessive moisture. Finished with several layers of matte varnish. Intended for light use and decor. Not food safe. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
