Scalloped Edge Paper Mache Bowl with Adinkra Design

A handmade paper mache bowl with hand-painted Adinkra art.

The west African Adinkra symbol "Ohene Aniwa" means "king's eyes", or the king sees all". It represents vigilance and beauty. The cream-colored symbol plays perfectly against the 'almost black' gray background. The beautiful, earthy texture comes from the recycled papers used in this piece. The raw, unpainted edge is a fitting contrast to the clean graphic look.

A generously sized organic form created to serve as a focal point on a table or displayed on a wall. A sturdy black wire loop makes hanging quick and easy.

Sealed all over for moisture resistance and durability. Intended for light use and decor. Not wet food safe. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Made from a paper pulp of newspaper and other recyclable paper, this bowl is a lightweight, but sturdy piece.
